I started a blog becasue I thought it would help me.. and I haven't gone anywhere with it!! So I'm going to try again. This week has given me a lot to think about and I feel like its a good time to try to improve things in my life.
Well, this last weekend, a fire struck my hometown of Pocatello. While I was not immediately effected by the fires, 66 families lost their homes to it. It has been amazing to see a community rally together to try and help these families. In less than 24 hours, drives for clothing, money, and basic necessities had begun.
As I sat comfortably on a couch in my apartment that I take for granted, I thought, "If I was given 10 minutes notice, and had to evacuate my house, knowing that I may or may not be able to return, what would I grab?"
Here are the first things I thought of..
1. My box of pictures
2. My computer
3. My cell phone charger
4. My camera.
5. My Great-Grandma's yellow hat
6. My Rapunzel Dress
7. As many clothes as I could find!
thinking about the fires I thought of this......
Really! What if we woke up today and had nothing but what I thanked my Heavenly Father for. I can honestly say I wouldn't have much. I know in church I said I was thankful for my talents, but I never say anything about my home, my clothes, the pen I love to use at work, my car, and so many more things.
GOAL: REMEMBER TO THANK GOD FOR WHAT I HAVE
